SRINAGAR: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha chaired a evaluate meeting of the Public Functions (R&B) Section at the Civil Secretariat on Wednesday.
The Lt Governor reviewed the progress of street infrastructure jobs less than PMDP, Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna, Central Street and Infrastructure Fund, NABARD RIDF, Metropolitan areas and Cities (Macadamization), Pothole Free Roads Programme, Bridge and Road sector, Countrywide Freeway, and Tunnel Jobs. He also took stock of Ropeway Tasks in JK underneath Parvatmala.
The Lt Governor emphasised on monitoring the ongoing tasks for good quality manage and instructed the executing agencies to adhere to the timelines for completion of the jobs.
He directed for a safety audit of streets and bridges and to just take corrective measures wherever important.
Senior officers of NHAI, NHIDCL, and BRO briefed the chair on the standing of the major tasks including Delhi-Katra-Amritsar Expressway, Semi Ring Highway Jammu Srinagar, Udhampur-Ramban Part, Ramban-Banihal Area, Jammu-Akhnoor street, Chenani-Sudhmahadev-Goha-Khellani street, Z-Morh tunnel, Zojila Tunnel.
The conference also discussed Human Useful resource Management in check out of the merger of JKPCC with the PW (R&B) Division. The Lt Governor asked the officials to investigate the options of producing focused divisions for Buildings & Bridges in the division.
