SRINAGAR: The strategic Jammu-Srinagar highway was restored partially after remaining blocked thanks to major landslides at Kishtwari Pather and capturing stones at a lot of spots en route, officials reported.
The thoroughfare, the only surface url connecting Kashmir Valley with the relaxation of the environment, was blocked late afternoon on Monday and authorities had started off restoration function promptly, the officers stated.
“Jammu Srinagar NHW (NH-44) has been partially restored and the stranded vehicles between Nashree and Banihal are being cleared,” they explained, including, “Commuters are advised to abide by lane self-discipline.”
In the meantime, Mughal Street, connecting Kashmir Valley’s Shopian district with twin districts of Rajouri and Poonch, remained shut and shall keep on being so “till further more notice” next fresh new snowfall, they mentioned.
