SRINAGAR: The Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) has apprehended two Pakistani nationals and their accomplice who unlawfully entered the state by means of the Nepal border, assuming false Indian identities by counterfeit files.
Among them, two are citizens of Pakistan, even though a single hails from Kashmir, media reviews mentioned.
The detained people today have been identified as Mohammed Altaf Bhat, Sayyed Gajanfar – equally Pakistani nationals – and Nasir Ali from Srinagar. ATS officers disclosed that just one of the arrestees, Mohammed Altaf Bhat, underwent training from Hizbul Mujahideen with the backing of ISI. Jointly with Sayyed Gajanfar and Nasir, they have been scheming militant pursuits inside India.
As per studies, Nilabja Chaudhary, Inspector Normal of ATS, said that the agency experienced been acquiring intelligence with regards to the infiltration of Pakistanis into India by the Nepal border, facilitated by the Pakistani intelligence company ISI. Chaudhary stated, “Intelligence also indicated their intent to perpetrate terrorist attacks in India, acquiring been through teaching at Hizbul Mujahideen’s camps, supported by ISI.”
Upon acquiring this intelligence, the ATS initiated operations by electronic and physical surveillance in Gorakhpur. They intercepted the two Pakistanis and their associate at Farenda village in Sonauli, close to the Indo-Nepal border. All three experienced gone through coaching at Hizbul Mujahideen’s coaching services.
