(WOWK) – An additional storm study by the Nationwide Climate Service has confirmed a 16th tornado from the April 2nd critical climate outbreak.
This new tornado was a non-steady EF1 in the Barboursville space. The storm originated south of route 2 at Estate Drive to north of Pea Ridge at Guyan River Highway. The storm then jumped to Merritts Creek Road and lifted involving Wildcat Street and the Huntington Shopping mall. The storm brought about some harm to the shopping mall and south alongside I-64.
This brings the twister total from this function to 16, 10 of which happened in the Mountain Condition.
