(WOWK) – StormTracker 13 Meteorologists predict a heatwave will move into Appalachia tomorrow, and the National Weather Service has issued an Excessive Heat Watch through the work week.
The forecast calls for mostly sunny skies with highs climbing up to the upper 90s and heat indices reaching the triple digits. The week will be mostly dry, but every day will have a chance for an isolated pop-up thunderstorm during the afternoon.
While record break and near record breaking highs are flashy, our morning lows will be nothing to scoff at. Temperatures will not drop below 70 degrees overnight all through the work week.
The Excessive Heat Watch is set to expire at the end of the day Friday.
