CHARLESTON, WV (WOWK) — Nearly $25 million will go towards a construction project that looks to provide better public transportation in Charleston.
The “Capitol Connector” project will reconstruct Kanawha Boulevard and Greenbrier Street, eliminating over five acres of road surface to provide separate paths for bicyclists, pedestrians and transit bus stops.
The project will also help improve lighting near the roads and enhance storm water management.
