CHARLESTON, WV (WOWK) — School bus drivers from all across West Virginia competed in the annual School Bus Safety “Road-e-o” in the name safety Wednesday.
Drivers practiced skills, worked through obstacles and navigated courses to see who is the best in the state.
Kanawha County Supervisor of Transportation Jimmy Lacey said it’s a great way for drivers to show how they can get your kids to and from school safe and sound.
“This is showcasing the drivers that transport your kids, your grandkids, your nieces and nephews to school every day and showing how safe they can be. And, it’s little competition so they can brag on, hey, I’m the best in the state for this year,” Lacy said.
This is the 46th year of the event.
